Haxby &amp; Wigginton Methodist Church joined with 29 other churches to pray for and support <strong>Hope Invasion</strong> – a huge, three-week youth mission.</p><p>In the run-up to the events young people from our church gave away free cakes at Joseph Rowntree School during lunchtime . Four of our young people got involved in the Street Invasion at the start of the Easter break and many others came to the event in the park.</p><p>As a result of the mission over 100 young people aged 11-14 have registered interest in attending a Youth Alpha, one of which will be happening here in Haxby &#8211; <a

class="meta-nav">&#8594;</span></a>]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our Scarecrow Festival Planning Team is now in place and hoping to produce the best Scarecrow Festival to-date!  Of course, this depends on the response of our local community &#8211; who haven&#8217;t let us down yet; they make and display the scarecrows &#8211; the local businesses supply us with the prizes; and we ask God for some good weather!</p><p><strong>Making a scarecrow this year? &#8211; <a
