The villages of Haxby and Wigginton are a community of about thirteen thousand
people situated just North of the York ring road (map). The two villages merge into
each other such that only post(wo)men and parish councillors know where one
ends and the other begins. Together they have all the facilities you'd
expect of a small town, plus the benefits of the city in one direction and
the countryside in the other.
As well as providing a flavour of the local community, this page also has a
growing number of community related links.
www.haxby-york.co.uk is a good site
for general information about Haxby.
